The Louis Vuitton America’s Cup Qualifiers Round Series took place at several locations around the world with the final taking place in Bermuda.
Portsmouth hosted events as part of the Qualifier’s Round Series and saw some of the most exciting yacht racing between Oracle Team USA, Emirates Team New Zealand, Land Rover BAR, Artemis Racing SoftBank Team Japan and Groupama Team France.
Trivandi undertook a feasibility study of various option for a venue for the America’s Cup on the south coast of the UK.
As part of the study we assessed the options for the land based operational requirements, boat storage and workshops, spectator viewing of competition areas and harbour areas for the competition boats. We assessed the potential commercial development opportunities associated with the new venue to support cross funding of the venue and worked with the Planning Authority to develop design proposals in line with the Cities strategic development plans.
