Trivandi’s donations have been partly raised via the sporting efforts of our CEO, James Bulley. In September last year James took part in a gruelling cycling ride across the Southern Alps – the ride covered a total of 290 miles in three days and entailed more than 10,000m of climbing. James said “we are really proud to support FRANK Water. The work that their team does to increase access to safe water and sanitation is really impressive and inspired me to dig deep when the going got tough in the Alps!”
The Trivandi donations have now reached a sufficient level to supply a typical Indian village with access to safe water.
FRANK Water is a small charity which has funded safe water and good quality sanitation for more than a quarter of a million people across 128 communities. 1,400 children globally still die every day from diarrhoea caused by unsafe water and sanitation. FRANK Water work in India where the sanitation is the worst in the world, in rural, hard to reach communities where the majority of villagers live below the global poverty line of 80p per day. The charity funds education around sanitation and water purification systems that save lives. FRANK Water also works with the communities to ensure that they are active in all decisions made focussing on the sustainability and longevity of the projects.
